Tribal Networking

It's Better to Give Than Receive, But What Goes Around Comes Around!™

To forge a virtually cost-free partnership steeped in the spirit of fraternity (or sorority as the case may be) that goes beyond matters of immediate concern. This spirit is best served by fostering a climate characterized by Gotham's mantra. Said another way we are all non-salaried, non-commissioned sales people for each other! Thus, we seek to create a family/tribal environment stimulating mutual growth: business, social, creative, intellectual, artistic, charitable or otherwise. Our endeavors should enrich each participant through altruistic acts undertaken with a genuine concern for the welfare of our fellow networkers and the world.

We bring together service-oriented professionals in complementary fields to share not only contacts, but also ideas and resources. Learn more

If you could pick just one Broadway show to see, what would it be?     We are big Broadway fans, most often musicals. We have seen Les Miserables multiple times and really loved Book of Mormon.     We are ready to expand our list. What are your suggestions? ...

BoysNightOutAtWolfgangs8-17 For the past 7 or 8 years, a group of several guys has gone out for dinner each August to Rao’s, the celebrated (and impossible to reserve) Southern Italian establishment at East 114th St. and Pleasant Ave. in Manhattan. Fred Klein (our host, connector, leader, mascot, and muse) led our band of merry-makers in our annual festivities that came to be known as “Boys’ Night Out at Rao’s.” (Yes, none of us technically qualifies as “boys,” unless you consider some of the behavior….) Alas, this year, our table rights at Rao’s disappeared, so we sought another venue, and one of our group came up with Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, on Park Avenue at 33rd St. (the flagship of what now has become a small chain of high-quality steakhouses in NYC and ranging as far as several outposts in Japan). See attached photo. Wolfgang had been a waiter and host at the venerable Peter Luger’s Steakhouse in Brooklyn for several decades before he started this venture, and by our collective assessment, it’s a big success. While we may return to Wolfgang’s next year, it’s also possible that this now has become a “moveable feast,” and there’s even talk of a possible road trip to an as-yet undisclosed location. Some traditions survive the bumps in the road, and I’m glad this one survived and is thriving.

                  The Power of Gotham

Not only did [Carol Greenwald] generously spend an exorbitant amount of time discussing a personal issue I was having but, she did it while she was away on vacation. Carol truly exemplifies the Gotham mantra that it is better to give than receive.

And, if you're an attorney and you have not used Carol's services then you're probably losing business and money. Just saying. . .
