This privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") applies to the Internet website www.gothamnetworking.com (the "Website"). In particular, the Privacy Policy addresses the privacy practices of Gotham City Networking, Inc. ("Gotham," "we" or "us") with respect to the personal information collected at the Website.

Information Collection
Gotham is the sole owner of the information collected at the Website. We are fully committed to protecting your privacy and provide the Privacy Policy to fully inform you as to what personal information we collect, how we use your personal information and how you can change your personal information.
We collect different information from you at the Website depending on whether you are a visitor or a Gotham member ("Member").
Members are required to complete a registration form at the Website during their initial visit. Through the registration form we collect various pieces of information, such as name, mailing address, e-mail address, company profile, telephone number and fax number. We use this personal information to populate your private membership information at the Website, which is only available to other Members.
In addition to the private membership information, you may choose to include a hyperlink to your business website at the Website, which will be available to both Members and visitors. We encourage Members to provide as much l information as possible to more effectively market their goods and/or services.
After filling out the initial registration form, Members may log in to their Member Profile account page ("Member Profile") with a combination of your e-mail address and Member-selected password (collectively, the "Log-In"). Members have the ability to control the specific personal information available to other Members at their Member Profile.
At this time, Gotham does not offer an online application for membership at the Website. Any requests for further information about Gotham membership must be submitted through an online request.
As for visitors to the Website, Gotham may collect your contact information, such as name and e-mail address, if you send us an online request. This information will only be used to answer your request; it will never be sold, rented or otherwise shared with third parties, without your prior informed consent.
Information Use
With respect to Members, Gotham collects your personal information for posting at the Website and for maintaining our Members' registry. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties, without your prior informed consent. We provide you with the tools to fully control how your personal information is used and displayed in the Member Profile section herein below.
As for visitors, we do not use your information in a personally identifiable manner, except to send any communications to you that you have requested from Gotham. As with our Members, we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties, without your prior informed consent.
Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, Gotham does reserve the right to collect and use aggregate or group data concerning our Members and visitors. Aggregate or group data is data that describes the demographics, usage or characteristics of our Members and visitors as a group without disclosing personally identifiable information. As a Member, or by visiting the Website, you agree to allow Gotham to provide such aggregate data to third parties.
Online Profile
We store information that we collect through cookies and log files to create a profile of our Members and visitors. A profile is stored information that we keep that details your Website preferences. This profile is used to tailor your visit to the Website. We do not share your profile with any third parties.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on a computer tied to information about the particular user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once you close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the your hard drive for an extended period of time. By setting a persistent cookie on the Website, Members need not Log-in more than once on the Website, thereby saving time while on the Website. If you reject cookies, you may still use the Website. However, you cannot access the Members' portion of the Website or your Member Profile.
For our visitors, we only employ session ID cookies.
This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Gotham, only, and does not cover the use of cookies by websites belonging to other Members.
Log Files
Like most standard websites, our servers collect and use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track visitor's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information. However, IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information to enable full access to Member areas.
Communications from the Website
We send all Members a welcoming e-mail to verify Log-In information. In addition, Members will receive newsletters, meeting and event notices and Website updates. In addition, you may choose to receive e-mails from the Gotham City Networking mailing list ("Fred's List"). Out of respect for the privacy of our Members, we present the option to not receive any e-mail messages from Fred's List. Please see the Member Profile section herein below.
Service Announcements
On rare occasions, it is necessary to send out strictly service related announcements. For instance, if the Website is temporarily unavailable for maintenance, we may send a service announcement by e-mail. These communications are not promotional in nature.
Sharing of Personal Information
In general, Gotham does not share any personally identifiable information with third parties, except in the following cases:

Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we reserve the right to release current or past personally identifiable information in the event that we believe the Website is being, or has been used in violation of, the Terms of Use or Membership Agreement, to commit unlawful acts, if the information is subpoenaed, or if Gotham, in its sole discretion, determines such disclosure is appropriate.
Aggregate Information
We may share aggregated demographic information with third parties. However, this is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Business Transitions
In the event Gotham goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company or selling a portion of its assets, Members' personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. However, we will provide you prior notice and an opportunity to opt-out of any transfer of personal information.
Member Profile
Members have access, through their Log-in, to their own Member Profile. At the Member Profile, a Member can choose and/or modify exactly what personal information will be shared at the Website. You have the option to include your photograph with your member profile; while we encourage Members to post their photos for networking purposes, we respect your right to choose to not include a photo. Members profiles are available only to other members and not to the general public, unless you are considered a Gotham Leader. Gotham accepts and assumes no responsibility or liability resulting from your decision to post your photograph on the site.
Opt-out
Members who no longer wish to receive e-mail messages from Fred's List may opt-out of receiving these communications by indicating such in their Member Profile, using the unsubscribe link contained within every e-mail or by e-mailing us at webmaster@gothamnetworking.com.
Removal
Members and visitors may request removal of any personally identifiable information from Gotham's database by e-mailing webmaster@gothamnetworking.com, and we will use reasonable efforts to comply with the request. Please be advised that some information is automatically stored in backup copies of Gotham's database that will be accessed only in cases of emergency. Such backups cannot be edited, so there may be residual information that will remain within Gotham's databases, access logs and other records, which may or may not contain such personally identifiable information.

This Website contains links to other websites including, but not limited to, websites owned and operated by Members. Please be aware that Gotham does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the privacy practices and/or policies of such other websites. We encourage our Members and visitors to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy policies of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by this Website.
Surveys & Contests
In the future, Gotham may employ surveys or contests to gather information from our Members and/or visitors or to promote Gotham. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you have a choice whether or not to disclose such information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Anonymous survey information may be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this Website. Member and/or visitor personally identifiable information will not be shared with third parties without prior notice and consent.
Tell-A-Friend
In the future, we may include the option for Members to tell their friends and colleagues about Gotham and the Website. If a Member elects to use our online referral service for informing a friend or colleague about the Website, we ask them for the individual's name and e-mail address. Gotham will automatically send the individual a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit the Website. We store this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time e-mail. The individual may contact webmaster@gothamnetworking.com to request the removal of this information from our database.
Chat Rooms, Message Boards, and Public Forums
Enabling our Members to market themselves and their companies to other Members and prospective clients is the primary purpose of Gotham. Therefore, Members understand that most of their personally identifiable information will be readily available to other Members. In the future, we may implement chat rooms, message boards or other public fora. Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online - for example at the message boards, through e-mail, or in chat areas - that information can be collected and used by others. In short, by posting personal information online that is publicly accessible, you may receive unsolicited messages and/or communications from other parties in return. Gotham will not be liable in any manner for the actions of others, even other Members. Under the Choice/Opt-out section, you have full control over your personal information and we encourage you to mindfully choose the type of personal information that you disclose at the Website.
Security
Gotham endeavors to maintain the integrity of our Members' personal information both online and off-line.
The servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment. We use encryption to protect your password to prevent unauthorized use.
