![]() Gotham Reacts
We have been deeply moved by the pain we are seeing and hearing all around us in recent days. In the most direct terms, Gotham stands firmly against racism and hate and in support of respect, kindness, and inclusion. We also recognize our collective responsibility to do better. We must take concrete steps to combat systemic and institutionalized racism.
Today we stand committed to conduct which promotes positive change. We stand with all of our members in understanding that we each need to look deeper into ourselves and do more to recognize and eliminate racial injustice and bias against black and brown people. Words are not enough. We must figure out how to move forward. Gotham is a unique organization built on the strength of our relationships – personal and professional – and we know that together we have a unique power to create a positive impact on this critical conversation.

The drive from Long Island was a long one. Route 17 to Wurtsboro and then Route 209 to Ellenville. A few County roads later and we found our way to Four Seasons Lodge.
Every summer there was at least one visit to my parents at the Four Seasons Lodge. When we arrived, my father was at the ready for our tennis match.
It was their bungalow colony in the Catskills. Their summer retreat. It was a special place. It was founded by survivors of the Holocaust. To my mind, a reflection ...
![]() Tribal Networking
It's Better to Give Than Receive, But What Goes To forge a virtually cost-free partnership steeped in the spirit of fraternity (or sorority as the case may be) that goes beyond matters of immediate concern. This spirit is best served by fostering a climate characterized by Gotham's mantra. Said another way we are all non-salaried, non-commissioned sales people for each other! Thus, we seek to create a family/tribal environment stimulating mutual growth: business, social, creative, intellectual, artistic, charitable or otherwise. Our endeavors should enrich each participant through altruistic acts undertaken with a genuine concern for the welfare of our fellow networkers and the world. ![]() The Power of Gotham
When my coworker and friend asked if I knew of anyone who could help her figure out a medical insurance coverage situation I quickly gave her the contact info for Arlene Haims, Allied Wealth Partners.
Arlene has been such a help to everyone I ever referred and generously gives her time and advice even when there isn't a bit of revenue generation for herself. It is a treasure to have Arlene and others I've met through my Gotham membership to help me help people. That gives me great joy
Thank you, Arlene! See you soon whether virtually or socially distanced :)
Stay safe and healthy everyone!
