It is a simple fact that for a network to work, be it electrical or social, it requires connections, be they mechanical or mental.  Gotham is a cornucopia of connections which hum day by day around the clock.   Of course, one of the secrets of success is to be a connector or go to guy or gal.  
We were in Washington last weekend and visited a wonderful exhibit at the Renwick Gallery, a small gallery near the White House dedicated to the crafts.

The March 2016 Gotham City Gazette® recounts the story of how I came to our Gotham following an encounter in 2009 at an CLE led by the venerable Michael Garibaldi and organized by marketer extraordinaire (and more) Lisa Waterman. Fast forward to their CLE six years and three months later and another encounter of a different kind.  
If you haven't heard, a small bird landed on Bernie Sander’s podium during a speech in Portland, Oregon, on March 25. He was shocked and surprised and it was an interesting moment. It almost seemed like a scene from a Disney movie.  
On Wednesday I passed another mile marker (see photo taken by Rodger Davis).  They say "It's just a number" and "You look good".  Well, the number is a very heavy mental weight which hangs over me and is never far from my thoughts.  I just can't really believe it.  Nor can I believe Joanne and I will be married 50 years in July.
