A need for secrecy absolutely barred this subject for blogging last week.
It's Saturday morning and I woke up with a smile and a warm feeling. No I was not in the shower, nor was it from the sun streaming in the windows, I was just walking down the stairs to write my blog.
I realized that my feeling was a result of having all my children in my house at the same time. It might seem funny to some, but being under one roof gives me a sense of calmness and comfort. I'm sure if you're a parent you can understand.
Some moments in life are worth remembering, especially those that help you smile. Enjoy your day ;)
My work cohort and/or Assistant is Dana Zarro (née Crohn). We have been together since the early 1970s. See photo above of us back in the day.
We Lifers have lots in common. Not the least of which is that we are both Left handed and love dogs (although I came to that later than she).
You may be familiar with Dana as Gotham's new member application coordinator, loyal blog commenter and sometimes Fredslist user.
There is no doubt that the picture accompanying this blog is worth a thousand words. It is a picture of my mother holding her newest great grandson a few days ago. Four generations in a single picture. (Yes, although not immediately visible, I am in that chain from my mother to my grandson.) It is a beautiful picture.
I'm writing this on Tuesday March 8, which is International Women's Day. Started in the early 1900's, it is still necessary to have a day to recognize and honor women over 100 years later...
From Wiki:
“Traditional” gender roles have been swirling in my mind this week. My daughter needed a semi surgical procedure this week and, for several practical reasons, such as he is a doctor and the date worked better into his schedule, my husband brought her to the doctor’s office and I went to work.
Twice a week I go to court. Not unusual for an attorney but not that kind of venue.
It may surprise some folks but I get together with some good guys Saturday mornings and Tuesdays eves to play ball; we play full court basketball over two hours.
Here's something new for you to do this weekend. If you have an iPhone, here's a list of questions and statements to ask/say to Siri. She has quite a sense of humor. Maybe Norm can book her for some events :) Or is she the next Friar? Or do I have too much time on my hands ;)
What is zero divided by zero?
When is the world going to end?
(If you're a Star Wars Fan say) Siri, I am your father
Ok glass
Beatbox
What does the fox say?
Read me a haiku
What came first, the chicken or the egg?
What are you wearing?
