Uganda is a country where you can be killed for being homosexual.
The law doesn’t protect you.
It's late and tonight's thoughts are random. So, I'll answer these five questions:
1. Favorite Color: Green, always. I'm not sure why.
Growing up, the topic of proper manners and consideration of others was an important topic for my Mom. We were taught to always say, “please,” thank you,” and “excuse me.” Whenever I called a friend at home I always begin with, “Hello, this is Rona, may I please speak to ____?” I guess with the use of cell phones and caller id, that last lesson is no longer relevant. But, as a Mom, I tried to instill in my children the same lesson-to be considerate of others and mind your manners.
Besides my usual basketball game, this weekend I needed to attend to some seasonal chores.
I covered the air living room conditioner and covering various bedroom air conditioners, and in my home office/ study one casement window and the air conditioner.
Here's something for you to ponder...according to the Constitution, chosen electors of the Electroal College are the real people who will vote for president, when they meet on Dec. 19th in their respective state capitals.
There is technically nothing stopping any of the electors from voting their conscience and refusing to support the candidate to whom they were bound, or from abstaining from voting altogether. There’s even a name for it: becoming a “faithless elector.”
Be honest, how many of you had the will and endurance to stay up last Wednesday night through the early hours of Thursday morning for the 10th inning, post rain delay, 7th game, Cubs 8-7 World Series, first in 108 years, victory? That's quite a lead, don't you think? After all, the Cubs had to exorcise the curse of the goat and free Steve Bartman from witness protection!Cub pitcher Jon Lester said it best: "A curse for me, is an excuse looking for a way out". Profound!
