My family uses Verizon for our television access. We have premium access, allegedly the best package with the greatest amount of television  stations. Apparently, that is no longer sufficient.
This morning after hosting some members of Shelly’s family the eve before for Break Fast, we woke early to observe “The Energetic Felling of the Old Kosciuszko Bridge.” We drove to 400 Kingsland Avenue in Brooklyn where we parked. A brief ceremony preceded featuring Governor Andrew Cuomo, Member of Congress Carolyn Maloney who secured the federal funding for the new bridge(s) and Member of the Assembly Joe Lentol who represents Greenpoint.
In my college days, cold pizza in the morning was one of the staples of my diet. Leftover pizza was unceremoneously stuffed into the frig, box and all. I would grab a slice on the way out to my first class and I was good to go.
In July I blogged about my Obsession with 6'7" 282 pound Yankee rookie Aaron Judge and my perception that, post All Star Game and his Home Run Derby win, he was losing his batting mojo and my related frustration.  His post All Star game  .179 batting slump inexplicably continued for an agonizing 6 week period.  Then September arrived and Judge seemingly flipped a switch and suddenly was on super nova fire again. To date he has blasted 13 homers in September to pass Mark McGuire for the rookie record for home runs. 50!
An incident reported to me: Standing at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 53rd Street waiting for the light. A man in front is standing off the curb -- in a bike lane. A tandem bike going north on the Avenue (the wrong way) screeches as it glances the pedestrian.

Apparently, Walmart is testing a new service. Not only can your groceries be delivered to your front door, soon they will be able to be delivered directly to your refrigerator.
There seems to be a new telemarketer scam out there that is disconcerting to me on so many levels. My office is in Garden City. Lately, at least once a day, I will receive a call on my cell phone in which my cell phone identifies as originating in Garden City. In addition, the first three digits of the caller’s phone number are the same first three numbers as my cell phone.
