Before Covid I rarely, if ever, gave my clients my cell phone number. Covid quickly changed that policy, almost all of my clients have my cell phone number. The younger clients specifically ask for my cell phone number when they sign the retainer agreement.

My dermatologist is Dr. Nancy Wolfin, in Great Neck, and not only is she a great doctor (she treated Bob Marley), but, extra bonus, she grew up in Long Beach and is a fellow diehard New York Ranger hockey fan.

I have no doubt that this group is full of individuals who work long, hard hours...we are all dedicated to our professions, client's and staff. But what about family.
Contrary to what my significant other thinks, time in my office is NOT like a day at Disney! That being said, I do love my work and am always worried about meeting my client's needs. However, sometimes that means that my and my SO's needs get put on the back burner. I am constantly looking for creative ways to manage my work life / home life.

Is it just me, or does it feel like no one works on Fridays in the summer anymore? Emails go unanswered, office parking lots are three quarters empty (especially my office), and court appearances always seem to be adjourned.
Has summer Friday off become an unspoken rule, or are we all just pretending to be "working remotely"?
