Time for a Good Read

I am ready – and if I’m lucky, maybe I will have a little time to read a book.   I’m afraid I have to admit I don’t remember the last time I had enough free time to read a whole book.  I love to read, but these days tend to read articles, short pieces, magazines, that sort of thing.  I am itching now for a good book.   And so, its survey time!   W

Did my Social Science degree prepare me to develop the first microprocessor-based autopilot? Not entirely, but getting 100 on my Physics Final did assist me in getting a job with an electronics company !!! (way before the term "tech" was ever used!)

This was the conversation in our house recently.    Did your academic schooling prepare you to practice your chosen profession or craft?  So far, the answer is maybe a little.   My answer was that law school did not teach me how to practice law but it did teach me how to think and to write, in the end core qualities to practice the profession.

A special day in the park
