With all the unhappy events that are in the news recently, I wanted to take a moment to write a short blog about a fun topic. And, of course, one that’s summer appropriate. So, here’s the question:
I am at the age when my adult children complain about me the way I used to complain about my parents. We have some of the same types of discussions and even disagreements my parents and I had thirty years ago.
Think wearable art is cool...now in addition to Google Glass, an Indian company is going to start selling shoes that sync up with a smartphone app that uses Google maps and vibrates to tell you where to turn.
Last Friday night the partners of the firm went to Rao's for some special after hours fun. Why "Where's Waldo"? Because my 4 law partners are female as is our Office Manager and my life (wife) partner. So see if you can find Waldo in the above picture of my law and life partners. For sure, the staff and patrons at Rao's regarded me as the lucky man I am!Cue "Glory Days" or any other tune which catches my mood!
The Gay Head Lighthouse in Aquinnah on the westernmost tip of Martha’s Vineyard is being moved inland. The historic lighthouse, which has stood on its present spot since 1856, is in danger of falling into the sea as the cliffs to its north and west are eroding.
I won't give my age because that would be indiscreet, 46 (respects to the great Arthur Bach).
Following a summertime tradition, last night after dinner Bill and I went for ice cream to our local Carvel. As we were sitting outside, all of a sudden I noticed that we were both quiet. Now, the two girls sitting on the bench next to us were not quiet at all but we were doing that thing – you know, admit it, you do it too.
One of the only rules for Gotham bloggers, that I am aware of, is that we are supposed to stay away from “political topics.” Understanding the reasons for it, I absolutely agree with this rule. But I find it so difficult to write today without acknowledging the tragedy of Malaysia Flight 17 and the conflict in Israel. Both incidents have made me profoundly sad.
