Another special show last week. Not a birthday show as was the case with John Fogerty the week before.  The Doobie Brothers - Walk This Road Release Event featured a new album release by this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member band (inducted in 2020).  It took place in a relatively small Venue, Irving Plaza.  Again accompanied by my daughter Marisa. We did not know what to expect.  A few cuts from the new album got teaser releases.
Over a year ago, I wrote about being at the cusp—an inflection point in the evolution of artificial intelligence. I referenced Mustafa Suleyman, the CEO of AI at Microsoft, who described AI as a “new digital species.”   Since then, AI has become deeply embedded in nearly every aspect of our society. It monitors our clicks, movements, and scrolling behavior online, building detailed profiles that are sold to marketers to predict and influence our purchasing decisions across the entire purchasing journey.
Last Sunday was absolutely thrilling, as I bore witness (and recorded) my Grandson Shawn Atom sing and perform with my son Alex's, Bodega Tallboys, band at the Sunset Club on Tappen Beach, Long Island.  It evoked so much emotion, even tears, as they sang and played Dylan's "Rock Me (Like a Wagon Wheel)"!
As I was entering the Diner, I held the door open for four women who were leaving. As each passed me, they said “Thank you” and I responded “you’re welcome”.
Sorry, this is a rather long blog.
Recently, I was trying to organize some thoughts around an upcoming presentation. It was not a conversation about the law, but instead a practical conversation.
I knew it was coming. First, I received the questionnaire. And then a month later it followed: the summons for jury duty.   I was last summoned for jury duty about eight years ago and I was let go the first afternoon.
Marisa and I attended a very special 80th birthday party, last Wednesday (May 28, 2025).  We very much enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member (with Creedence Clearwater Revival) John Fogerty.  John performed on his 80th at The Beacon Theatre, probably the most beautiful venue in which to attend any show.
