I'm always amazed how our mind works.
You can see someone you haven't met with in a long time and all the memories and feelings you had with that person fly in and it feels like you are in those moments again.
Like the song says, It’s Summertime and the living is easy. You could alter the words a bit and say It's Summertime and the commuting is easy, as once school ends for the Summer and people migrate to the beaches, my daily drive from Nassau County to Long Island City becomes far easier and quicker (as much as a half hour each way).
It's summer and that means t-shirts and hats.
I have too many t-shirts and too many hats. Many reminders of places visited. Something about probably being meaningful when I got them.
Nothing gets me more annoyed and exhausted than trying to communicate with a person “hard-of-hearing” and I don’t mean “hearing” in the literal sense of the word. Have you ever had a colleague, friend or co-worker that did all of the talking and ZERO listening? (Notice my past tense word choice) Even when they ask a question, they don’t even listen to your reply! Ugh! I tend not to keep them around.
Active listening is to listen with all of your senses. When I have a conversation with an active listener, I am aware of this skill immediately.
I just finished a great book but that’s not the point of my blog.
I read this book in so many different medium – on my phone, on my iPad, on my kindle. Even a little audiobook along the way.
How often are you thankful that you thought before you typed? This week I was so happy that I did.
The Baseball season appears not to be going the way I’d prefer. Many friends probably agree, if they root for the team based in Queens.
It's the face of today's multi (or mini) millionaire.
This six-year-old South Korean YouTube star named Boram makes an estimated 2.9 million dollars a month reviewing toys. Her two YT channels - a video blog and a series of toy reviews - have more than 30 million subscribers.
She's the highest earning South Korean YouTuber.
