I would be remiss, if I chose not to mention the anger filling our cities and streets, manifesting itself in the form of destruction, stealing, killing, fighting and then proudly posting it across the world, on social media.
I do not wait on line anymore to shop, unless of course it is the supermarket or Costco last weekend. Instead, I shop online more and more. I kind of like it.
With Nassau County having entered Phase 1 of the reopening I began to think about what going back to my office looks like for me. As I wrote in a past blog, I do not believe that I will be in my office five days a week as I can work efficiently from my home office. But I do need a presence in my Garden City office.
Tomorrow starts not just a new month. It’s also an end. A termination. A retirement of sorts. Maybe a beginning but I leave that for another time. I enjoyed it or endured it or perhaps tolerated it for more than a decade.
It accompanied me to many an event.
TV is still showing people hugging, holding hands, buying cars, and all this feels like telltale's of another era. Shall we ever go back to what looks now, retrospectively, like happy days?
We struggle adjusting to the new reality, but have faith that we will get through this together. Therefore, during this difficult and unprecedented time, we will continue in our role of supporting the Wellness Community, by bringing you timely information and expert’s views.
Some day we will look back upon these unprecedented times and the beginnings of new norms and habits.
Such a long view is not necessarily for me, but one thing has emerged for me.
I have converted my 2 hour commuting time productively.
Yes I Zoom (not my favorite pastime), but, best of all, I have started to nap.
I had my first Covid dream a few days ago. It was about reopening and returning to the office.... back to normal.There was an awareness of measures in place to safely return.At my office desk, I settled in and reacquainted myself with the security of surroundings that I was so accustomed to.
