Although technically not correct, Labor Day has always felt just like starting a new year to me.  Maybe it is because the time of year brings back that feeling of the end of summer and start of a new school year.

While summer always ended on a sad note, the excitement of new clothes, new books, new friends and old was an ample replacement.  That sense of “new” has never waned for me around this time of year.

With that, I will just wish you all a technically incorrect Happy New Year packed with lots of “newness.”
