The Sweeter the Better
Over the years, I have heard more than a snicker or two as I ordered a glass of wine. I am not shy about my order. I ask for my sweet white wine loudly and clearly. Seriously, at Passover I look forward to the Heavy Malaga Concord Grape Manischewitz. That should give you an idea about how sweet is sweet in my world.
For a long time, I ordered a cold glass of White Zinfandel. Then I discovered sweet Riesling and at some point a year or two ago, graduated to Moscato. But recently, I turned up the sweetness quotient even further.
After a partnership meeting recently, my partners decided to go out for a drink together. I hung back to make a call but asked them to do what I would – ask the waiter for the sweetest glass of wine on the menu. For the first time, I tasted something called Ice Wine. Move over Moscato! Of course, I learned quickly that I had moved from perhaps the least expensive to the most expensive wine but so be it.
Anyone want to join me for a glass of Ice Wine? What is your favorite?

I just tried a new winemaker Out East here, that has a wine called Anomaly. It is not too sweet but tastes like peaches. Fantastic.

nice Sauterne or Schloss Johannisberger Riesling Rosalack Auslese; we called it the honey wine.
Kosher Bartenura Asti is also delightfully and sparkling Sweet.
