I am sitting in the waiting room of a local urgent care center…waiting to take a COVID rapid test.
We have been invited to attend the bar-mitzvah of the grandson of close friends this weekend. Although we’ve heard of people being asked to show vaccination proof and be tested before attending an event, this is our first.
I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this adventure, but having made the commitment to share this meaningful event with our friends, there is comfort in knowing that everyone there will be vaccinated and tested. In addition to checking on their guests, our hosts have assured us that all staff at the venue are vaccinated and are taking other precautions. Finally, in addition to the traditional head coverings, masks will be required during services.
And when we raise our glasses in toast, l’ll add a little something about the new normal.
Be safe.

I get tested every time I get back from traveling and before I engage with people. And with a testing site on every corner (almost) the local urgent care is never lined up anymore. This is not likely to change in the near future and I really don't mind.

Not likely given the fact that many people refuse to do what needs to be done to put an end to it.

always better safe than sorry. There can't be overkill when we are talking about health.

Testing for Thanksgiving get togethers was a Pain. But what can we do for now.
