As I looked around the table at the 19 Gothamites and guests in the dining room deep below street level on East 54th Street, I thought about all the years of in-person Gotham networking meetings.
I start most days early and almost all of my work – in fact a good bit of my life - is online via phone, zoom, and various chats and apps. To connect with the West Coast, I am often online at night too, making for long and productive days. My time spent looking at the screen - both on the phone and computer - has gotten longer. Picking up and looking at the phone is second nature, and while it is a wonderful tool, the phone can also create an unwanted distraction.

Cuba Libre is my favorite 5:00 adult beverage while I am in Key West. For those unfamiliar, it is a mix of rum, coke and a squeeze of lime. To say the least it tickles my fancy. Especially when sipped from an old fruit jar :) Allegedly, it was named at the dawn of the 20th Century by an American Captain stationed in Havana during the Spanish-American War who hoisted it while toasting "Por Cuba Libre" ("To a free Cuba") and just like that a catchy appellation was born!
To streak or not to streak?I play Wordle and, for a long time, they (whoever “they” are) kept track of my success (or lack thereof). It kept track of the number of games I had played without interruption.
