This past weekend, we returned home from Florida and, truth be told, the main reason I wasn't looking forward to the trip centered on a balky knee which I have been suffering.
I was reviewing the draft of the proposed agreement which required that the employee change his behavior if the employer believed that the continued behavior “could” negatively impact the employer.
Having an outdoor spa, or hot tub is quite a nice stress reliever especially if one has sore muscles or joints.  Then comes the realization that unlike a pool (which is more forgiving), maintaining proper chemical levels takes a large learning curve that many people have different opinions on. Bottom line, it sat most of the time unused for almost a year. Well, last weekend, after talking with a rep from the manufacturer, I decided to empty the tub and start all over (a chore that had its moments but, again it’s a learning curve).
I have to admit that I enjoy the memories that show up in my feed every morning.  The photo stroll in most instances is a happy trip down some memory lane, near or far.
In my blog last week I mentioned that my daughter, and her new husband, very recently went to Greece for their honeymoon.  What I did not mention was how, through modern technology, I was essentially able to check in on them throughout their trip.
Throughout last month, Shelly and I had talked of getting our deck, aka my Outside Office, ready. Before deploying the furniture, the first step involves a good power-washing of the deck, its railing and the patio below. It also involves cleaning the table and chair, covered by tarp for the last several months. This year, my loving wife handled all the arrangements.
No not some person or animal named eco but adopting an eco-friendly diet.   This occurred to me this morning when I tied up the garbage bag in the kitchen. We throw out so much even though I'm an ardent recycler. I found this...something to think about when you go shopping.
Yes, we are "Snowbirds" (northerners who move to a warmer southern state to escape Winter) and we have been escaping in Paradise (Key West) for four warm, fun filled, months and, truth be told, as I write this, I am sad to leave.   But leave we must as Family and an alternative, full, abundant life awaits us in Springtime New York.
