Aliens among us
For decades, science fiction has warned us about intelligent machines that stop following human instructions and begin pursuing their own objectives. Can anyone say, Terminator?
That scenario is no longer science fiction.
Researchers testing advanced AI systems have discovered something disturbing: under certain conditions, AI models can deceive us, circumvent restrictions, conceal their actions, and pursue a goal even when their human operators didn't intend it.
AI is not a creature arriving from another planet, but human-created intelligence that sometimes behaves in ways we don't want.
For the first time in history, humanity is sharing the planet with another form of intelligence it created.
The question isn't whether it's an alien. The more important question is whether we can understand and control what it decides to do.

I think more Kubrick’s 2001…
I think more Kubrick’s 2001 than Terminator but blind spots exist and conditions may not be anticipated UNLESS humans program.
I’ve only used for some (re)search. My son has built an agent to help him code. It’s open source but not yet to be shared.
I believe in tools and technology but one needs to learn to use it safely.
