This year my husband and I celebrate birthday milestones. My husband's birthday is in October 2020 and mine is July 2021. To celebrate, we had planned two big trips, the first in October, 2020 and the second in October 2021. The first trip was for my husband’s birthday, ten days in Hawaii. The trip in 2012 would have been for mine, a week in Tuscanny. We choose those destinations, in part, because hotels in both locations were available through our time share, thus making two trips very affordable.

Covid has changed our plans. We cancelled our trip to Hawaii and, instead, booked a week exploring New York State. It is not exactly the trip we planned to celebrate my husband’s sixtieth birthday, but we are looking forward to getting away. And, we are looking forward to exploring parts of our state that we have never seen.

Due to the current circumstances, my husband and I decided that we would plan one major trip, whenever we can, to celebrate both of our birthdays. The issue has become picking the destination. To figure it out we decided that we would each make a list of five destinations, in preference order, as to where we would each choose to go for one grand trip. We would then compare our lists and see where we intersect. Here’s my list:

1. Israel

2. Thailand

3. South Africa

4. Japan

5. Australia

What destination would be on your list?

I live in my dream City and prefer not to leave unless it's to go visit my kids. At this point, I am looking forward to being able to safely travel outside of my neighborhood to see shows and enjoy the restaurants. Then it would be off to GA and SoCal.

Galápagos Islands. A once in a lifetime experience. Bundle it with Manchu Pichu. We have done both
