Start a micronation. You can print your own stamps and even money. There are about 98 active micronations across the planet from Australia to Antartica. They are not officially recongnized by the government but that doesn't stop them from trying.   They even had a conference this year...Micro Con 2015. Here are some of the micronations that attended:
Following up on last week's blog, I was honored last Friday by the Russo family Theresa Foundation.  One of the honoree responsibilities is to help raise donations to the Foundation. I am very pleased to report that with the help of our Gotham Networking Tribe we broke the previous record by 25%. This was very satisfying and I thank everyone involved, contributors included, for this team effort.
I don't consider myself to be a fashion statement; although the other day an adversary told me that my tie reminded her of a Klimt painting as we digressed to a brief discussion of the movie Woman in Gold.
Have you been? I had the great good fortune to have to take a bunch of people there just this week.
Well, not really dangerous in the technical sense of the word.
I was in a bakery last week when a sign on the display caught my eye. The sign read  “Swiss Rolls.” Looking at that sign immediately brought me back to my parents’ house and into their kitchen.
Friday night was a special night for Gotham.  It was the 21st Annual Theresa Awards Dinner.  The Theresa Alessandra Russo Foundation is a not for profit that honors the memory of Theresa Alessandra Russo by touching the lives of children with special needs and their families.  Theresa, who would have been 29 years old on Friday, was born with a rare illness that took her when she was just five years old.  Her parents Vincent and Susan started the Foundation in her memory.
A somewhat meaningful number these days. While Fred was being honored last night, A-Rod smacked his 660th homer last night at Fenway park tying Willie Mays for fourth on the all time list. His laser shot snapped a 2-2 tie and proved to be the winning run. Now the controversy will smolder as the Yankee organization refuses to pay him a $6 million dollar bonus (which is in his contract) for reaching that milestone.
