I am not always a first adaptor when it comes to new things.  I often rely on my children when it comes to technology and new media.  Jonathan was first with the MacBook and the iPhone and iPad.  Marisa set her dad up on instagram which I use sparingly.  With the issues involving twitter, I followed other options.  After reading a recent email comm

What's wrong with communicating correctly

Sometime after this commentary get posted to our Gotham Network's listserve, I compose a tweet and post it to twitter.  I do not like typos and unlike with Facebook, no current capability exists for twitter users to edit their tweets. Those who follow me on twitter and some others there and Friday’s blogger know Shelly and I enjoyed a proud parent moment last week. RIP Adam West. I really enjoyed that series in my youth. I enjoyed the comics. In all his appearances always a nice person. RIP Batman.   I took to social media, Twitter to be exact, when I wanted to learn about his passing. I learned he enjoyed 150,000 followers and only followed 115. His page said he joined Twitter in March 2009 – one month

Learning What The Public Ought To Know

Watching the news unfold this weekend with demonstrations at the NYC airports and blocks away from where my Gotham Power Breakfast meets in downtown Brooklyn and places across the country, I found myself looking through my twitter and looking at my fave cable news outlet, NY1. A Day In The Life immediately came to mind.   Last week I discussed how

So I went to the Twitter Trending topics page and the first three topics I saw were:   1. Kyle Schwarber -  had absolutely NO idea who that was, but World Series fans will know that he is an outfielder* that has just been added to the Cubs roster for the games. *originally I called him a pitcher, FK told me he is not.   2. Pablo Picasso - definitel
