Friday, I was finally able to set up outside. I even tweeted about it (See pic above left.). This morning I expect to get some final pieces in place for the deck. It requires a curbside pickup but I prefer not endure a weekday delivery and interference with my workdays/week upcoming

It was great to take breakfast yesterday morning and actually read my papers on my reclining chaise lounge; even broke out my outside coffee maker!

We got out that afternoon and participated in drive-by for co-worker of Shelly’s who had lost her husband. I read about and viewed on TV other carvalcades but this was our first. People at houses before the co-workers were waving to us. People walking by filmed us on their iPhones. It was someone’s sorrow but the memorial event brought even some strangers together.

But back to this afternoon. I planned since last weekend to get Shelly a Chaise lounge to “match” the one she got me a few dad’s days ago.

Corey's chaise & Shelly's covered chaise

I got covers for both and few other chairs so we can put the cushions out.

Even if no company for a while (social distancing is possible in that space but we’ll not entertain that beyond thoughts of one day....), it becomes symbolic and forward looking.

social distance

I like that.

I love how in one short blog we got a snapshot of how you live your life: enjoying the present, glimpsing at the past, and always looking forward. I like THAT!

To be outside working or not is 5x the value of 4 walls.

We have no yard or garden so my desk faces the street. I put up with the blinding sunlight glare on my computer screen in exchange for watching the crows jump-fly from tree to electrical wires to tree. And I spy on the kids across the street learning to bike and scoot and skateboard.

Great day for outside relaxation or work.
But a baseball game on the radio or a playoff game to run in for would be nice.
Hang in there-the family, friends and music gets you through.

Lovely. Is that area fully covered or need you taking the electronics if inclement weather

When the weather is nice like it has been lately, it is great to be outside. Enjoy before it gets too hot to do so. Although I did see that fan to help.
