If you know me, you know I have a boyish fanatical obsession with New York Yankee team Captain Aaron Judge, a Paul Bunyon wonder on the Major League Baseball field.
Yes, he holds many batting records, yes he won the American League Batting title this year and yes he will win the league's Most Valuable Player Award for the third time this year, but the knock against him is that he has failed in the clutch, time after time, in post season Playoff play.
Whether such criticism is fair is a matter of opinion, but, historically for sure, his post season performance has not matched his superlative regular season standards.
No doubt, Judge was aware of this short fall criticism as he entered this year's post season play.
I believe he considered it his Legacy Moment.
Now that the results are in (he hit and fielded better than ever), it is clear to me that he exorcised whatever above mentioned demons haunted him, eg, I will never forget his "Fair Pole" Homer on a 100 mph 0-2 pitch!
Redemption was achieved. The only problem is that his teammates failed him and his Yankees lost once again.
Is there a solution to this recurring problem? You be the Judge!
