Figuring It Out

Figuring It Out

Regardless of what "it" is, I enjoy the challenge of figuring it out.  Complicated twists and turns grab my attention and just smolder in my brain until I can start seeing around the corners.  With full candor, it does not always work.  But I always enjoy the challenge.

This is definitely true for me professionally.  In my world there are no easy answers because human beings are different and each twist means taking into account a particular personality, their history, needs, strengths, weaknesses tied to a business need, personality, history, needs etc. . . .  You get the idea.  When it comes to legal theory, we get to be creative and the "it" has clues built in cases that others have tried and judges or regulators decided.  As my challenge of "it" has grown, my interest in seeing past the "it" in front of me has become even more rewarding.

This challenge is true not only professionally but personally too.  We are just about to finish (round 1 of) a renovation project at home.  Now, that "it" has been really challenging and constantly changing.  If you've been through this you know how this works -- you think you figured it out, and then you didn't and you start all over again.

And so, I think I'll keep looking for "it" and trying to figure "it" out.
