We Need More Uncomfortable Conversations
We Need More Uncomfortable Conversations
Avoiding difficult conversations isn’t kindness. A lot of the time, it’s selfishness.
We avoid saying something because we don't want to feel uncomfortable. Meanwhile, the other person doesn't know there's a problem, the situation keeps getting worse, and eventually the conversation becomes much harder than it needed to be.
How many problems in your life right now aren't really problems but conversations you haven't been willing to have?
Think of the conversation you've been avoiding. You probably already know which one it is. Now ask yourself if it will improve by waiting another day/week/or month.
