This past Friday during lunch in Princeton, my friend architect extraordinaire Josh Zinder asked each attendee to share a story.

Since the next Friday (September 23) marks a special anniversary of sorts, I shared how I met Fred C. Klein or perhaps how Fred met me.

A version of that story, perhaps the definitive one, appears in the March 2016 issue of the Gotham City Gazette®.

Bottom line an interaction occurred because a panelist – Fred – mentioned softball and it motivated an attendee – this correspondent – to approach Fred.

It seeded a friendship and nice professional relationship as well.

So as September 23 approaches, I recall that day seven years ago – it seems much longer – and smile.
