Here's how the story came to me. My brother-in-law was waiting in his car on line at his local gas station. Apparently, there is a time honored method to the queue at this particular station. My brother-in-law is very mild mannered, so I imagine that he never expected what was to come next. A car pulled up next to him and the driver rolled down his window and screamed. “You cut me off.
in the last two days, I ran into Christian Slater, the actor, at Duane Reade and Luis D. Ortiz, of Million Dollar Listing, at the World Financial Center. It always cheers me up to see these "celebrities", when I'm out and about in the Greatest City in the World, New York City. I think its because these successful people are out and about on the streets, it means that there is success here for me too.
This is an audience of people who network. That means you are out in the world every day meeting new people and forging new relationships.
I received the usual message on my cell phone yesterday, “your voicemail is 90% full.”  As usual, I had not listened to a single message.   Most often, when I get a missed call on my cell phone, I just  tend to call the person back. I hardly, if ever, take the time to listen to their message.
Gotham City Networking, Inc.® hosts some special events this week.
I think we might want to start locking up our laundry detergent and making sure we have a password for our WiFi.   Sometime last week a naked 28 year old man was arrested after he broke into a north Georgia home through a pet door.   He entered the home nude to shower, wash his laundry and to use the owner’s WiFi. The police incident report says that perpetrator was spotted climbing a neighbor’s fence and squeezing through the dog door at the back of the house.
On Sunday we will enjoy our fourth annual Battle of the Bands. Each year this musical competition improves and I am proud to say that Sunday's venue is the iconic Greenwich Village Cafe Wha?.  Yes, where Dylan and Jimi had their starts.  We owe the honor of playing there to part owner William Skody (Co Chair of our Make A Difference Group).  Thank you again and again.
I can't remember a presidential primary in New York that made a difference. Usually, the nomination is decided well before the New York primary. Not this year. We're actually getting the TV ads, the campaigning, the candidates, even a debate in Brooklyn! I have a premonition, perhaps a concern, that New York will make a difference. We will look back at April 19th and recognize that New York’s vote was critical.
