That's my usual response when when people ask me how I'm doing. It's a reflection of my perspective on life. Since my "incident" over 3 years ago, I don't sweat the small stuff so much anymore....the politics of relationships...the idiosyncrasies of my friends and family, etc.   A client asked me the other day if I was taking a vacation this summer which got me thinking about what paradise truly is...
Last week I blogged about being beleagured by a (Hack) Hoax and once that was resolved I immediately proceeded to lose my phone.  The second was surely worse than the first. The only explanation is that my pocket was picked.
We were having coffee at a little cafe. Small space. Couldn’t help but hear the conversation at the next table. One of the people was sharing a little issue she was having. Frustrated by her inability to find a solution. One of her friends offered the following: Your mind is like a TV. If you don’t like what your seeing, grab the remote and change the channel. As I heard the words, I smiled to myself and would have offered “And there are so many channels to chose from.”
It is the 199th day of the year. 166 days to go. How are you spending them?   Today would be Nelson Mandela's 100th birthday.
We spent last week in Florida visiting family, including my mother in law. She recently celebrated her 96th birthday.
World Cup fever. Did you have it? Our home did. And anticipating Sunday’s 11:00 a.m. final I bought all of the ingredients for a huge breakfast so we could enjoy the final game over a family breakfast.
Today’s Sunday blog covers how the right tribe behind you and with you helps you make a difference and makes a difference for you and the other with whom you connect. Please read on!
Last Sunday I embarked on a day long cook… Smoking a brisket. It’s a true commitment because smoking a brisket is at minimum 12 hours of cooking time. It all started the day before when I purchased a 9 pound brisket from my local butcher brought it home and put my special rub on it then place it into the fridge overnight.   Unfortunately I can’t tell you what’s in my special rub because then it wouldn’t be special :-)
