I am following up on Erik's blog of yesterday which brought into question the amount paid to Judge Judy -- the highest paid TV personality -- and Vik's comment that it was “Free market”. (OK, Vik said “Free market, baby!”).
So the actors of The Big Bang Theory won their negotiation and got their $1M per episode.  More power to them. they do a great job and the show is brilliant.  The truly stunning part was finding out who was trhe highest paid TV personality!   Would you believe that Judge Judy makes $47M per year for her assault on the senses.  My wife and I have argued about this before, and obviously she is not the only one who likes her.
My house is all consumed right now with college prep. Not the figuring out what school to go to kind – but the shopping, packing and generally getting ready to leave kind.
Mitch’s last blog inspired me to write about this topic:
We are on Martha's Vineyard for few days and today seems to be our second day of rain.
In 2012, the USDA estimated that Americans ate an average of 52.3 pounds of beef, 57.4 pounds of chicken, and 43.5 pounds of pork, per person. Vegetarians, about 5% of the US population, do not eat meat (including poultry and seafood).
Last week Thomas Berger, most famous for his novel  "Little Big Man", died at the age of 89.  While reading his obituary I was intrigued by another oh his books entitled "Changing The Past" (1989) In which a man gets to go back in time to the forks in his road and take the other path.Wow, what a concept! What would you do? I must admit that I am at wits end to think of anything I would've done differently.
I may have to stop second-guessing my GPS. I recently was instructed by my GPS to take what seemed to me to be a roundabout way to get on a nearby highway. Ignoring the GPS suggestion, I took my more-direct route and was shocked into humble reality when I saw that my “more-direct” route was snarled in stop and go traffic. As I wound my way through side streets to get to the highway, the friendly voice kept making suggestions as the GPS repeatedly recalculated my route.
