It's Saturday...and anything goes.

Where's your line?
Where's your line?

I've always been extremely tolerant and accepting of other people. Sometimes to my own detriment because there are a lot of people who take advantage of others.

line

I was taught to help others but not taught where that line is that prevents you from subjugating your own self. From time to time I thought I knew where the line might be but found it elusive. It could be because there is no distinct line and that it shifts for each relatoinship that you have.

Some people I know have lines so far ahead of themselves they can't even engage in a meaningful conversation.

I think about it a lot lately....not sure why.

I agree, it shifts with each relationship. Sometimes, it takes time to figure out exactly where that line is.

I tell my kids: Protect boundaries and energy while still being generous with time.
Not so sure I do it myself.... :)

You have been thinking about it a lot lately but you're not sure why ? Let me help you ? No ..... on second thought maybe not .
My line ,as you can imagine , used to move in direct proportion to my opinion of the asshole standing across from me . Now I have a zero tolerance line . A red line if you will . The line begins at my big toe . Don’t cross it . Tolerance of any kind is gone . Trespassers will be shot on sight . Stay the F away . Perimeter radar and nontolerant dogs on patrol . The apology tour is over Brother !

It's like that court ruling: you know it when you see it!"

I am getting better at finding that line---out of sheer necessity. Time is limited. I refuse to waste it.

I am raising my kids (especially Emily)---that sometimes you have to teach people how you expect to be treated. This way lines are not crossed (hopefully). It's something I wish I had learned early on.
