How do you turn off the noise in your mind? I had a particularly disturbing day in court on Friday afternoon. Leaving the courthouse I was more emotional than usual. I knew I was coming home to an empty house as my husband was working late. So, I had no one to really vent to.
I also knew that I would be eating dinner on my own. I decided to pick up a rotisserie chicken on my way home. When I got home, I cut into the chicken, poured a glass of wine, and put on trashy television ("trashy television, for me, defined as anything on Bravo). An hour later, my mind had quieted down and I was ready to enjoy the weekend.
