I think about the lessons that we have imparted to our children.

Work hard and accept responsibility, be considerate and show your love of others, embrace the elephants in your life, speak out if you see injustice, make a difference in the world around you, clean up after yourself, and on and on.

Over the past few weeks, I am convinced that we are now learning from our children.

Stand up and let the world hear your worries, don’t accept something you believe in your heart is wrong, look away from those who want to lead you down their own paths, recognize and own the power you have and on and on.

There is so much change going on in the world. I am proud of the teenagers who are not afraid of speaking their minds and demanding change.

Let’s see what they have planned for us next.
