There was a time when I would check my horoscope everyday in the newspaper. Now that I get all of my news exclusively online, I no longer do so.

Astrology has fascinated people for centuries, captivating believers and skeptics alike. While I find the insights entertaining, I won’t comment about its accuracy in predicting the future. But astrology is also used to define personalities. My astrology sign is Cancer. When I look up the personality traits of Cancer, I find this:

Nurturing and loyal, Cancers are protective of their loved ones. While reserved, they stand on a foundation of strength – and aren't afraid to act when they feel it's necessary. Cancers are also known to be an emotional — and moody — sign.

That is a pretty accurate description of me.  Many find comfort or validation in what the stars supposedly say about them. However, I tend to see it more as a fun, cultural practice rather than a science-backed tool.

Whether you believe in it or not, astrology undeniably adds a bit of magic to the everyday.  Do you believe?
