An Apple A Day
An Apple A Day

As I am writing this blog, I am sitting at my desk eating an apple. I’m not usually one for midafternoon snacks. I was at the Farmer’s Market,  at the courthouse on Tuesday and the apples looked so good. So I bought a few for home and left a few in the office refrigerator.

It's very surprising to me, how much I am enjoying these few moments, taking a short break, and eating my apple. So much so, that I felt compelled to write a blog about it.  This afternoon pick me up definitely added a smile to my day.

Are you a midafternoon snacker?

Taking a short break is beneficial in so many ways, even if you're not hungry. It's something I need to remind myself of almost every day. :)

Apples are a wonderful fruit. Great taste and texture as good for you too. Go Organic as we eat the skin and most farms use a lot of pesticides (including many from the farmers market).

Short breaks are an essential reboot for body, mind and spirit. Apparently, there is also something to an Apple a Day, according to recent research. And Harvard studies confirm that short breaks actually boost productivity. reducing stress levels and group medical claims.

It’s a great season for apples. :) good reminder for mindfulness and taking a few minutes to be present, as well. Thank you!

I wish I could say that I was not an afternoon snacker -- but that would not be true. I try to be careful about what I choose though.

Stop and smell the roses or in this case eat the apples.....same idea. Afternoon short walk is great for me.
