Is everyone a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day?

While not Irish, we usually celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. In our younger, child-free days we would participate in much more exciting festivities. These days, the lead up to March 17th consists of searching for fun green attire for the kids to wear.  The tradition on the day of, includes my wife dusting off the crock pot, slow-cooking corned beef for hours, steaming the cabbage and baking Soda Bread with my oldest. The recipe is courtesy of a children’s book we checked out from the library several years back. Thankfully, it doesn’t call for adding raisins, which, I am not a fan of.  If I’m being honest, I don’t really care for corned beef either but, in the spirit of being festive, I partake.

How do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?
