Safe Space NYC is seeking a new Vice President of External Affairs and Director of Development. The position pays between $110,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience. 
   
Located in Jamaica, Queens, Safe Space NYC is an agency that works with the City’s most at risk youths and families to prevent foster care placements, build strong families, and promote self-sufficiency in communities. Safe Space NYC is looking for a creative and experienced fundraiser who will be able to expand public awareness and increase private funding by strengthening relationships with donors, public officials and other constituents.

SQPA - Bard College Program Opportunities

The Southern Queens Park Association (SQPA) is pleased to announce two partnerships with Bard College: 1) The SQPA - Bard High School Early College Program For Middle School Students; and, 2) The SQPA - Bard College Young Adult College Access & Preparedness Program.

SQPA - Bard High School Early College Program For Middle School Students: This middle school program (Bard Early College Academy) is offered to promote access by Southern Queens and Rockaway middle school students to the specialized high schools and Early College High Schools. Students will participate in a Saturday program, 9am to 12pm, and qualify for a free summer camp. Participants will become better students, and increase their likelihood of successfully competing for a seat in an early college high school program that confers a Regents diploma and an Associates Degree after four years of high school. SQPA Bard Early College Academy (For Middle School Students) Program Description

SQPA - Bard College Young Adult College Access & Preparedness Program: This college credit bearing program will be offered at Roy Wilkins Park, and will meet three times a week from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. YACAPP offers credit bearing courses (up to ten credits), primarily targets "formerly disconnected" young adults 16 to 24 years of age, and will prepare them for the rigors and expectations of college level study.
