For whatever reason I found myself resistant to using AI aka artificial intelligence.  Primarily, it resulted from reading about various professionals in academia and the media and elsewhere getting exposed for using it to an extent that their work came into question -- as something not original or worse.  That made me hesitant to using it in my writing.  I did experience colleagues using AI to gather information.  And I knew Internet searching incorporated it more and more.  More recently, discussions by friend and Gotham colleague, David Oralevich, about his ApolloClaw AI agents, made me open to its application to tasks that I knew took time to perform and even much longer when it required research on what to do.

Visiting with my son in part to help with his daughter, our grandchild, over the last few weeks, Jonathan (who has developed an Open-Source AI platform to assist him development code) taught his dad how to use AI to get information I was able to share with Apple Support on a 'bug' affecting my use of Contacts on my MacBook but not on my iPhone or iPad.  As a result, I believe the most recent macOS update fixed it!

Since that use, I found myself comfortable asking it for answers and help on solutions on issues I experienced using my technology.  Most recently, in the tedious effort involved in updating access to my websites after a transfer to a new server; much time was saved. And just yesterday, it assisted me in adding Wi-Fi to our other car.  I knew AI had application(s); I just did not expect to delve into it as much as I have.

From time to time, I find myself sharing how learning never ends.  This commentary supports that view.
