See you in a year.
Dr. Gwo-Chin Lee delivered that rather encouraging message that title this blog as he completed August 12 my checkup following replacement surgeries on my right hip, February 5 and earlier my left hip almost 13 months before (July 24, 2025). I already shared with Dr. Lee -- as I have for month when I chat my physical health with family, friends and colleagues -- that I believe I am better now then well before COVID. He shared full recovery (presuming I mess nothing up) is about 18 month on both surgeries. As good (great!) as things feel now, I welcome that things can only get even better. I notice how different everyday task become rather routine and things including working in my yard feels "fluid."
The pic accompanying this blog presages an activity I really want to re-incorporate in my life (There's a camaraderie aspect I miss as well from not participating in a weekly game with really good friends.).
