Why Not Call?
Why Not Call?
I received a text message from a long time friend last week. She wrote, “I miss you.” I smiled at the connection and the sentiment. But I did also think, “Then why not just call me?” So I called her. We had a great conversation filed with laughter.
Today’s technology makes it possible to stay connected with people instantly. But text communications can, sometimes, feel shorter and less personal. In my case with my friend, a quick text almost replaced a phone call. At the same time, receiving that simple message, from someone I care about, completely uplifted my day.
Has convenience improved communication, or have we slowly lost something along the way?

I think we lost something…
I think we lost something. There never seems to be enough time, si we adapt to what is deemed to be quicker.
