We’re on Martha’s Vineyard and as we drove from the ferry to our destination, I was quickly reminded that there is a lot of traffic on this island.And there is a lot of courtesy on this island.Courtesy makes traffic much more tolerable.
The end of summer? I’ve heard people talk about it for weeks even as the temperatures stayed up in the 80s.    For some, summer “ends” when school starts. For others, Labor Day or the end of rental season in the Hamptons (a New York thing) marks "the end."
I don’t like saying goodbye to my children.    They both live too far away – and they both enjoy coming home which I like very much.  
Mitch’s blog on Saturday influenced this blog. At what point do you change your consumer actions based on unacceptable service? And have you changed your own professional behavior based on your personal experience?  
So a funny thing happened on X last week.  At least I thought so. Daughter Marisa texted a link to a post to X by Politico's Jeff Coltin that included a pic of buttons a former City Council Member and State Senator from my home borough of Queens posted for sale on Facebook.
Does everyone want or need feedback?    I've been buying fresh bread from a local Italian bakery in Glen Cove for quite some time. The staff has usually been pleasant, saying the right things but often in a tone that indicates they work hard, which they do. I'm always nice to them and always leave a tip.  
I spend an inordinate amount of time on social media.
With the invasion of the Spotted Lantern Fly, the expression “ I wouldn’t harm a fly!” is being turned on its head.I am one who, literally, wouldn’t harm a fly.
