Rather than a big party in town, we made big plans to celeb
In his book Think Again, organizational psychologist Adam Grant reminds us that distance can distort perception. “The greater the distance between us and an adversary,” he writes, “the more likely we are to oversimplify their actual motives and invent explanations that stray far from their reality.”   This idea is an all too common human reaction. When we lack direct interaction, we fill in the blanks with assumptions.  
If you know me, you know I have a boyish fanatical obsession with New York Yankee team Captain Aaron Judge, a Paul Bunyon wonder on the Major League Baseball field. 
What’s in your wallet ? No, this is not a take-off the TV commercial and I’m not asking about credit cards.But a recent medical episode involving a friend of mine reminded me of the importance of having your emergency contacts in your wallet.
The Ryder Cup at Bethpage. Years of preperation. Millions of dollars of construction. The hieght of anticipation finally arrived.  Bethpage Black looked amazing. The best possible conditions. The course was made as easy as it could possibly be to allow the players to hit shots as long as possible without being punished by the thick rough that Black is known for. It was a grea come back story on Sunday with the US losing both Friday and Saturday matches. It made for great TV. Unfortunatly the crowds took it to far. To drunk, to load, to agressive.
For the first time in more than five years, I have a list of movies coming out that I would like to see in an actual live movie theatre.  
My daughter, Sydney, is pregnant and due to give birth to a baby girl on November 30, 2025. She recently sent me a copy of her registry.   I looked through it and was happy to see several books on the list, most of which I used to read to her as a child. One of the books listed was “Guess How Much I Love You?”  
I opted to go out on a limb last Monday eve.
