I've made many mistakes in my life. But their is one that I am reminded of several times a day.

A few years ago, I made a political contribution on line. It was made for the right reason at the right time but it was, no doubt, the cause of about half of my junk mail and text messages. As the political season heats up, the deluge will only increase. Emails and texts from, and on behalf of, candidates and causes from all over the country. The messages are desperate, oftentimes insulting,  in their design to elicit a contribution. Blocking and unsubscribing are to no avail.....but I'll keep trying as I'm reminded of my mistake of years ago.
