Dr. Odey Raviv started Gotham Encores nearly two years ago, in early 2021.  Being semi-retired, I joined immediately, as a Charter Member of Encores (having been a member of Gotham L.I. for the preceding 17 years).

A group dedicated to supporting those of us who are ready to take the plunge away from a "total" work focus.

We are dedicated to finding ways to make this exciting stage rewarding and satisfying as we discuss wellness, culture, travel, mentoring, volunteering, food, financial security and a host of other issues.

We explore the unlimited possibilities inherent in semi-retirement and retirement, in the contexts of personal growth, travel, classes & learning, programs, socializing, grandchildren, cooking, sleep, part-time work, consulting, board service, events, and all the new experiences that less work offers.

Encores meets the 4th Monday of each month, at noon, via Zoom.  Consider visiting at a couple of meetings before deciding whether to join our ongoing conversation.
