[Fredslist] Get to know: The Gotham Encores

Please spread the word about one of the newer Gotham Groups, The Gotham
Encores, both within and outside Gotham.  Its value is apparent to all who
have visited (many of whom have joined). 

 

Dr. Odey Raviv started Gotham Encores nearly two years ago, in early 2021.
Being semi-retired, I joined immediately, as a Charter Member of Encores
(having been a member of Gotham L.I. for the preceding 17 years).

The Gotham Encores

A group dedicated to supporting those of us who are ready to take the plunge
away from a "total" work focus.

We are dedicated to finding ways to make this exciting stage rewarding and
satisfying as we discuss wellness, culture, travel, mentoring, volunteering,
food, financial security and a host of other issues.

 

We explore the unlimited possibilities inherent in semi-retirement and
retirement, in the contexts of personal growth, travel, classes & learning,
programs, socializing, grandchildren, cooking, sleep, part-time work,
consulting, board service, events, and all the new experiences that less
work offers.  

 

Encores meets the 4th Monday of each month, at noon, via Zoom.  Consider
visiting at a couple of meetings before deciding whether to join our ongoing
conversation.
