[Fredslist] Food help needed near Roslyn

Gotham – A friend of mine is between a rock and a hard place when it comes to food- it’s so bad it’s almost a riff on the 2013 Man sketch where the old man tells the reporter all he can eat is rocks and “cool mountain water, 10 degrees below room temperature”.

She was recently diagnosed with rising potassium levels, and was told to go on a low potassium diet.  The problem is that much of the food she loves is now forbidden, and some of the remaining food she is allowed is also forbidden because she has been on blood thinners (warfarin) for over 30 years due to Afib.  She also has diverticulitis. It’s a mess.

If you know of a nutritionist or doctor who can help her and guide her through this it would be really wonderful.  The nutritionist she met with basically just gave her a list of bad foods.
