Hello Gotham Members: Please see the email below about a fabulous Bz. Program with the City of NY.  Way back in 2010-2011 I was selected as part of the 15 business owners for the very first Cohort of “Strategic Steps for Growth” (SS4G) in NYC. This award winning Bz. training program, run in NYC by NYU Stern School of Business., has been replicated nationwide in major cities to help M/WBE’s to grow.

I cannot recommend this program enough if your business is a Minority or Woman Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) operating in NY City (even if not yet certified). If any of you have specific questions about my experience feel free to email me. I do not know any of the people at SBS who will choose the businesses; details are found below and via the link. Learn how to grow your company by participating in the NYC Department of Small Business Services Strategic Steps for Growth program. You will learn business skills, connect with other entrepreneurs in your industry, and access new networks to broaden opportunities. We will also help you develop a 3-year Strategic Growth Action Plan - a roadmap to grow your business.

Eligibility Criteria

•     Certified by New York City as a Minority or Woman-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) OR submit your application to become M/WBE-certified by the start of the course
•     Operating for at least three years, with annual revenues between $500,000 and $10 million
•     Have at least one employee (not including the business owner)

Deadline to apply is October 11th. Classes start November 7th.
