[Fredslist] Fundraiser gift donations for homeless shelter

Ester took the words right out of my fingers!



*I second Ester’s appeal for donation items for Beth-El.* This is a local
homeless shelter and “soup kitchen” in the center of Milford. (It is not a
Jewish Organization, contrary to the name, but rather a coalition of
Christian parishes.) Beth-El serves food to a lot of people in the area,
and shelters families in transition at 2 locations.  We are working *fast*
on this, as *the event is June 2nd.*




*Please note:New York Centric items are big for getting higher bid amounts
at the auction!*  As Ester says: Tickets to Broadway shows or sports
events, memorabilia, restaurants of the finer variety, etc. If anyone has
Cruise Ship or winter vacation homes, it would be great. Usually your
auction items can  be counted as deductions for 2018 taxes (consult an
expert, please).



If you are in Connecticut, my office is a drop-off point for bulkier
donations, like your oil paintings and sculptures or first edition signed
books!
