[Fredslist] Wandering Jews Need Home for Holidays

Gotham – a wonderful Jewish congregation based in Bed Stuy was burned out of their synagogue in November and now has no place to celebrate the holidays (or Shabbat - but that issue is not as critical).

They need space for 100 – 150 people. Their custom is that they can drive to services.

They need a storefront or a school auditorium or a building common space (they services are noisy) – preferably donated but they do have a little money with which to pay. The congregation is not “orthodox” but they are observant and they can’t meet in a church or mosque. (please don’t tell me how that indicates they are not desperate – for them it is like asking them to eat pork)

If you know someone who might be willing to make space available PLEASE contact me or Josh (jzinder at joshuazinder.com<mailto:jzinder at joshuazinder.com>) – we need to network to an individual

Thanks!
Susan
