On March 18, we had a terrific joint meeting of Gotham's Expert Witness and NY health and Aging Resources Groups. The meeting, held at Fabio Cucina Italiana's fabulous Italian restaurant noted for Fabio's all made to order menu of virtual any meal desired by his guests (all three courses plus non-alcoholic beverages) all for $35/person (tip and taxes included(.

> I want to thank the leaders of the Health and Aging Resources Group (Gideon Schein , Kathy Welles and Ben Geizhels and all of their members for both making this happen and their valued contributions, especially Gideon and Kelly's organizing and Ben's terrific presentation about the new Health Awareness/informed consent law that will mandate full disclosure of whether doctors are in or out of network PRIOR to any medical procedure.  I walked out with 2 pages of notes from Ben and 4 from Ned Einstein's report card presentation about the status of NYC's various transportation options for disabled and elderly passengers, which is for me, like winning baseball's triple crown and once again proving the enormous value Gotham provides when we collaborate and use our own expertise.  And, the written words from Expert Witness Rona Wexler that she asked me to read, following the recent loss of her daughter, Ariel after a long struggle fighting a terminal disease,  so poignant, loving and significant to any caregiver, receiver of care or families and friends of the seriously or terminally ill person.  How often in life can we, in the short span of about 1.5 hours enjoy the company of good friends, eat a fabulous cooked to order luncheon and enrich both our minds and our spirits with meaning and value.  This poll has only one choice:  GOTHAM!.  Thank you, Gotham and thank you, Fred.   And thank you Rona, one of the most extraordinary women I have ever known.  Your sharing of Ariel's sharing her perspective on how we all can relate better with those victimized by a terminal illness.  We all plan to  keep the dialogue going between our two groups.  The synergy was palpable and reaffirms our Gotham devotion to both giving and sharing as our top priorities. The Gotham Magic is alive and well and was present yesterday in Fabio's restaurant.
